March 14, 2026 – Vayakhel-Pekudei (and he assembled/Countings) – Parshat 22/23

  • Torah: Exodus 35:1-40:38
  • Haftara: Ezekiel 45:16-46:18
  • Brit Chadasha: Luke 22:1-13

Vayakhel Moshe et-kol-adat beney-Yisra’el vayomer alehem eleh hadevarim asher-tsivah Adonay la’asot otam.

Moses then assembled the whole Israelite community and said to them: These are the things that the LORD has commanded you to do:

Moshe then assembled the entire nation after returning from Sinai a second time with the new tablets of stone. Moshe, a fractal or shadow of Messiah Yeshua, returns after making intercession, atonement, and achieving a renewed covenant and forgiveness of the nations sins.  The return of Moshe corresponds to the return of Mashiach Yeshua who upon His return will Vayakhel His people from the four corners of the earth in the kibbutz galuyot the ingathering of the exiles.

Yeshiyahu (Isaiah)66:20-23 They shall bring all your brothers out of all the nations for an offering to the LORD, on horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the LORD, as the children of Israel bring their offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
21 Of them also will I take for priests and for Levites,” says the LORD.
22 “For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me,” says the LORD, “so your seed and your name shall remain.
23 It shall happen, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me,” says the LORD.

Maimonides said of Mashiach that He will do four things “Ultimately, King Messiah will arise and will restore the kingdom of David to it’s ancient state, to it’s reign as it had at first. And He will rebuild the Temple and gather the exiles of Israel. And in His days all the laws will return as they were in former times.             (Maimonides, Mishneh Torah, Hilchot Melachim 11:1)

Avinu Malkeinu may it be in our days and in our time.

We end the reading of Shemote as we do each book of Torah with this exhortation! Chazak! Chazak! Venitchazek! Be strong! Be strong! And may we be strengthened!
